Year 2 – Week 10. “The real voyage of discovery consist not in seeking new landscapes but in having new eyes.” (Marcel Proust)

This blog post is about travel.

Perhaps because while I am writing it, I am stuck into a train, hoping to arrive tonight home and see my mother for few hours. It is supposed to be a 2 hours and a half voyage but it snowed so much last night, the highway was closed. I am already grateful I took the decision to not go by car this morning, but to wait until the snow stops falling. There were already 12 accidents when I checked the news last time.

Perhaps also because my handmade dictionary has on each page a quote about travel and each time I fill up a new page with words to learn, I get to read another nice idea about travelling. The title of this blog comes from there in fact 🙂

Perhaps because, this week I had the first pilot concerts, part of a project I am working on, to bring classical music on the rock and pop stages. We had a concert with a rock band for whom we arranged their music to be accompanied by a whole symfony orchestra. And we rocked it. At the end of the concert, the public’s reaction was such a blast! I was there, receiving the ovations and observing their big smiles and happiness on their faces and I was thinking at the journey I have made until here. It is the journey to my land of gold to that space where I can manifest my creative expression the way I feel.

This project (we have 2 more concerts with another rock band) is giving me for the moment, enough imagination material to picture better how I want to design it in the future and how does it feel to manifest it already.

There is much to learn about it, much to improove and discover. A part of the journey has been already made and that gives me wings to go with the wind.

I just love that sentence Christina.

Your projects sound really interesting and exciting. I hope you enjoyed your time with your mother. Stay safe in the snow.

  2. That is such a fabulous idea! My sisters and I sing so I have often thought about doing an r&b remix of famous Broadway songs and reintroduce them to the youth so that the culture lives on. Thank you for the inspiration and girl if you did Motzart I know you rocked it. That joker was a rocker before his time.

  3. Great to hear that your pilot project was a blast and it’s provided a fertile ground to grow your DMP more, bringing it more alive and manifesting before your eyes. I love the concept of blending rock and pop with classical music. Keep on sailing!
